Immersive Pop-Up Experience

Art: Aged & Neat was born from a love of creativity, Kentucky heritage, and the kind of shared experiences that bring people together.

Founded in Cadiz, Kentucky by artist and bourbon enthusiast Sonia M. Murphy, the business blends the craftsmanship of painting with the storytelling tradition of bourbon culture — all inside a one‑of‑a‑kind mobile art lounge.

Our mission is simple: to spark creativity, connection, and community through immersive pop‑up art experiences.

Events takes place inside our signature inflatable dome, a space that transforms any venue into a warm, elegant, bourbon‑inspired environment.

Whether we’re partnering with a distillery, brewery, restaurant, festival, or community group, the lounge becomes a place where guests can relax, create, and enjoy something truly unique.

Each experience is guided by Sonia, who brings years of artistic practice. Her approach blends step‑by‑step instruction with the welcoming, slightly rebellious charm that defines Kentucky’s distilling heritage.

Guests of all skill levels are encouraged to explore their creativity without pressure — just good company, good stories, and a canvas waiting to be filled.

Art: Aged & Neat provides everything needed for a seamless event: painting supplies, seating, setup, cleanup, and expert guidance.

Thanks to training from Whiskey University, Sonia can also offer Bourbon 101 sessions, adding cultural depth and a taste of Kentucky tradition to the creative experience.

At its heart, Art: Aged & Neat is a celebration of craft — the craft of painting, the craft of bourbon‑making, and the craft of bringing people together. Our tagline, “Creativity, neat as bourbon in a teacup,” reflects the spirit of every event we host: warm, intentional, and served with a touch of Kentucky charm.

Founders Bio

Sonia M. Murphy is the founder and creative lead of Art: Aged & Neat, LLC, a mobile paint‑party experience inspired by Kentucky’s rich distilling heritage. Based in Cadiz, Kentucky, Sonia blends her lifelong love of art with a deep appreciation for bourbon culture, creating immersive pop‑up events that bring people together through creativity, storytelling, and shared experience.

Sonia began facilitating art sessions in 2014 in the Chicagoland area under Gallery on the Go with Sonia, where she discovered the joy of guiding people through the creative process. Those early years shaped her belief that art should be welcoming, accessible, and infused with warmth — a philosophy that continues to guide her work today.

Her passion for Kentucky bourbon runs just as deep. By the time Art: Aged & Neat launches this spring, Sonia will have completed the Bachelor of Science Degree Program at Whiskey University, including 33 tasting courses. She will hold the title of Master Bourbon Taster and the Officer Rank of 1st Lieutenant in the Bourbon Brigade, distinctions that reflect her dedication to understanding bourbon as both a craft and a cultural legacy.

Sonia is also an active member of Bourbon Women, the premier organization for women shaping the future of the bourbon industry. She proudly serves as a Brand Ambassador for the Bourbon Women Kentucky Chapter, helping elevate women’s voices, celebrate Kentucky’s distilling heritage, and foster community within the bourbon world.

With a blend of artistic expertise and bourbon education, Sonia creates events that are equal parts creative, educational, and unforgettable. Her signature approach — warm, elegant, and a little rebellious — shapes every experience inside the mobile inflatable art lounge. Whether she’s teaching a painting session or leading a Bourbon 101 class, Sonia brings authenticity, passion, and a genuine love for community to every gathering.
